Why Pollensa
What makes the reading hour different
Small, purposeful cohorts
Every programme is capped at twelve participants. That ceiling is not a formality — it shapes the quality of discussion each session can hold.
Reading before the room
Participants receive curated reading materials ahead of each session. Time in the room is for discussion and reflection, not instruction from the front.
Educational, not advisory
Pollensa programmes are reading and discussion led. We do not offer financial advice. The aim is that participants leave with clearer language and more considered questions.
Singapore-specific reading
Materials draw on the structures, terminology, and institutional context that participants actually encounter — CPF, HDB considerations, employer benefit letters.
Unhurried pace
There is no pressure in any session. Participants are encouraged to sit with material rather than race through it. Considered reading takes the time it takes.
Peer conversation at the centre
The most valuable element of each circle tends to be the exchange between participants at similar life stages — not the facilitator's notes.

Common Questions
Before you enquire
Who are these programmes designed for?
Pollensa programmes are written for adults aged 40 and above who are approaching, or already within, the later stages of their working lives. The reading is most useful to those who feel they have been making household decisions without fully understanding the language used around them — particularly around retirement structures, income mapping, and housing choices.
Is this financial advice?
No. Pollensa is an educational reading programme provider. Nothing discussed in our workshops or circles constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or regulated guidance. If participants require advice specific to their circumstances, we encourage them to consult a licensed financial adviser.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are held at our reading room at 71 Robinson Road, #14-01, Singapore 068895. The space is quiet, climate-controlled, and suited to extended reading and discussion. Participants are asked to arrive a few minutes before the session begins.
What does the price include?
Programme fees include all reading materials for that programme — workbook, binder, or clothbound glossary as specified — as well as access to the cohort discussion notebook and any follow-up circles listed in the course description. Refreshments are provided during sessions.
How do I join a cohort?
Use the enrolment form below or call us during reading hours — Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. We will confirm the next available cohort date, check availability, and send enrolment details by email. Cohort places are allocated on a first-written basis.
What if I cannot attend a session?
Because cohort sessions are discussion-led, each participant's presence shapes the conversation. If you are unable to attend a session, please let us know in advance. For multi-session programmes, we will share the reading materials and notes from the discussion you missed.
